The studio

EngHauss is an architectural design studio in Methuen, Massachusetts. We design homes, additions and commercial spaces, and we stay with each project from the first conversation to the drawings a builder can price and a building department can approve.

We believe most of what goes wrong on a building site was decided, or left undecided, on paper. So we draw carefully, test ideas in three dimensions before anyone commits to them, and work closely with the engineers and builders who turn the drawings into a building.

How we work

  1. Discovery

    We listen, walk the site and review zoning and code, so the brief rests on what is actually buildable.

  2. Concept design

    Plans, massing and options, sketched quickly so you can compare directions before committing to one.

  3. Design development

    Materials, interiors and lighting resolved in a 3D model you can walk through and change.

  4. Permit documents

    Coordinated, sealed construction drawings for your building department and your builder.

  5. Construction support

    We answer contractor questions and review the work, so what gets built matches what was drawn.

Architectural documents are prepared and sealed by a Massachusetts-registered architect.
